What speed/size memory card should I use? Follow
The recommended memory card size and speed vary depending on if you are taking photos or videos.
For photos, you generally are wanting to look for a card that is fast enough to be able to write photos as fast as you are taking them. Most photos are between 20-40mb, thus you would want a card that writes at a faster speed than that.
For videos, if you’re shooting in HD, your memory card should be at least a Class 10, U1, or V10 card. These cards have a minimum sustained speed of 10 MB/s. If you’re shooting in 4K, your memory card should be at least a U3, or V30 card, both of which have a sustained speed of 30 MB/s.
